We reluctantly left the beauty of the Isle of Skye and started a drive
down the west coast of Scotland before heading back to Edinburgh. As we drove across the bridge we had the distinct
feeling that we were leaving a place that crossed time like no other… Did you know that Dunvegan castle (home of Clan
MacLeod) on the island’s northern tip has been continuously inhabited by the family
for around 800 years?
Along the west coast, you could see why they filmed many of the scenes from the Harry Potter
films here as it was quite beautiful - the first bridge below was used in the train
scenes.
Two days later we were back in
Edinburgh ready to head off on our next adventure and deeply pleased that at
the last minute we decided to visit Scotland!
