Day 30 - Nara - Todai-ji

Tōdai-ji is a Buddhist temple complex that houses the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana. In Japan this Buddha is known as Daibutsu.

A supporting post in the temple has a hole apparently the same size as one of the Daibutsu's nostrils. Legend has it that those who pass through it will be blessed with enlightenment in their next life...

A long line was waiting to try, but only children appeared to be able to make it all the way through.
