Day 37 - Darwin, Australia

We landed in Darwin Australia...  A BIG cultural change from Japan!
Japan is refined, complex, high speed and crowded, with impeccable service, incredible attention to detail and a very strong sense of the community.
First impression is that Australia is vast and rugged with big empty spaces, very few people, and a very laid-back approach. It feels that we have jumped back in time. For instance, checking in at the train station was on a hand written paper list, an 8 mile beach with zero development, or 3 hours to rent a car (well, to be fair, there were three people waiting) that had an antique child car seat...
Both countries are wonderfully enjoyable though, for completely, and almost opposite reasons.  It has been a great start.
