We made it out to Fitzroy Island the following day. Fitzroy is about half way to the Great Barrier Reef, but already the island has a surrounding reef and the water was crystal blue. We had a few good dives here - pictures below taken by sneaking out with Choci's camera (waterproof for frequent drops... we also determined it is food proof). And took a boat out to Moore Reef on the Great Barrier another day - fantastic. We did not take any pictures, but it was spectacular.
